Common types of tree disease in Greenwood Village include Fire Blight (a bacterial disease), which affects Apple, Crabapple, Hawthorne, Pear and others. Powdery Mildew often affects both Lilacs and Roses. Cytospora Canker (another fungus) often affects Aspen and Spruce, among others.
In the case of Fireblight, be on the lookout for branches that have curved tips or discolored leaves and dead leaves. Cytospora systems are very different on Aspen (brown sticky dripping, or sunken off color cankers), then on Spruce(white Pusey looking wounded areas on the branches)

The interesting thing about Greenwood Village is that we can see the mountains off in the distance but that doesn’t change the fact that we are living in a semi-arid area.
